Watermelon Salad Basil
Bite sized appetizers arrange the watermelon chunks in a single layer and top with basil feta and balsamic syrup.
Watermelon salad basil. Toss gently to coat. 4 ounces feta cheese broken into large pieces about 1 cup. Ala carte put out all the ingredients and allow each person to add what they like. 12 cup fresh basil leaves cut into thin strips see note coarse salt and ground pepper.
Combine watermelon cucumber vinegar oil and salt in a medium bowl. 3 12 pounds seedless watermelon rind removed cut into 1 inch cubes 6 cups 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice. Sprinkle over watermelon and toss to combine. Slice the onion into very thin half moons and scatter over the watermelon.
In a small separate bowl whisk together the honey lime juice olive oil salt and pepper then drizzle over the watermelon salad ingredients and toss to combine. Cut the watermelon in half. Then scatter the basil leaves over the top. Step 2 sprinkle with basil and pepper.
On a slice of watermelon top a slice or round of watermelon with all the goodies. Drizzle lemon juice over watermelon. Stick a toothpick or skewer in each chunk. Combine the watermelon red onion and cucumber in a large bowl.
Combine basil slices and watermelon in a large bowl.
